Most Instagrammable Spots In Ireland

Best Photo Ops In Ireland

Lets be honest... All of Ireland is incredibly photogenic or "Instagrammable" as they say, at least I think thats what they say. Below are some of my all time favorite places in Ireland to take photos of and must sees on any vacation to ireland.

Connemara and Kylemore Abbey

Connemara may not be the thought that you have of the quintessential Ireland. It is beautiful rolling hills, lots of lakes and even a lot more sheep!

The Wild Atlantic Way

This picture was taken coming into the tiny little village of Fanore, on a section of road called black head. The truth is, anywhere you go on the Wild Atlantic Way you are guaranteed epic views and a great time.

The Reason it is named Black Head, because there is literally a "black head" in the hill.

Poulnabrone Dolmen In The Burren

The Burren is one of the most unique and beautiful places I have ever been. The Green with the grey limestone creates a contrast like no other. Not to mention all the unique flora and fauna only specific to that area. It really is my favorite part of Ireland - but... I could be biased since that is where my husband is from.

The Kilkee Cliffs

Although not my favorite cliffs in Ireland they are pretty amazing and on a nice day great for a quick stroll.

The Aran Islands

Head over to the Aran Islands for everything "instagrammable" from the horse drawn carriages to the shipwreck on inis oirr (ennis heer).

The Cliffs Of Moher

My favorite place in the entire country of Ireland. The cliffs are truly the most awe-inspiring things I have ever seen! They stand an impressive 700ft and you can walk above them or come to the "secret" spot where all my photos are taken from for an even more incredible view. If you want to know where that is, subscribe and send me an email.

Ballyvaughan

Ballyvaughan is in the heart of the Burren and very famous for the T- Junction which makes a very good photo!

Lisdoonvarna

Single? Head on over in September during the match making festival and you may just find your future spouse haha. It is a cute little town filled with great pubs and great craic!

Slea Head

Kerry is a gorgeous county and the Slea Head drive was beyond beautiful! If you are trying to decide between the Ring of Kerry or Dingle and Slea Head. Do Slea Head!

Kerry Cliffs

They are pretty neat, but probably my least favorite cliffs of the three on this list. Don't get me wrong they are really beautiful and all, but I did not personally find them as awe inspiring as The Cliffs Of Moher.

Kinsale

I went to Kinsale specifically for the pictures below! It did not disappoint. Not only is Kinsale a cute little town with nice shops, pubs and food but you can also take photos in front of the cutest little buildings.

Gleesk Railway, Kells, Co. Kerry

This is a cool little spot even if you do not have a Drone. The Railway is no longer running, but I had to stop at it because it was so impressive from below.

Fanore

Fanore beach is a golden stretch of beauty with some great waves when the surf is right. Also the local pub (O'Donoghues) has great food and the best pint of Guinness in Ireland.

Doolin

Probably one of my all time favorite places in Ireland because of its chilled out vibe and more than adorable shops! Not to mention the little castle that looks out over the town. You can't get into it, but you can get into it or go on the road above it and get some pretty good pictures, especially at sunset.

Cobh And The Deck Of Cards

Cobh is an interesting little city with a lot of history. It was the last port of call for the Titanic and has an entire museum dedicated to it. It is also a rainbow city, with house painted all kinds of colors specifically the deck of cards. The most famous area pictured below, which is great for photos and if you climb the little hill above it, you can get the houses and the church in, just watch out for nettles...ouch!

Oh yeah, and that church is pretty impressive if I do say so myself!

Dun Chaoin Pier (Dunquin)

Yes...I did go to Kerry literally just for this picture and it did not disappoint. I think we spent about an hour or two walking around and taking pictures of the pier. It is pretty cool and their is a super famous picture with sheep on it! So you can go to the pier and then get a postcard with that photo and send it home to everyone!

Stay tuned for an epic road trip itinerary around Ireland. Don't worry, it will include all of the places in these pictures and more!
