Where To Eat In The Cayman Islands
The Caymans has so, so, so many restaurants and I can guarantee that there is something for everyone. I am allergic to a ridiculous amount of food and even I can find something to eat. I have 43 different allergies - dairy and gluten are the main ones and the hardest to get around. Check out some of the best restaurants that the caymans has to offer, from fancy - shmanzy to quick and easy. But all equally as delicious! You can click on any of the names below and they will link you directly to their website
This is a really nice restaurant, especially if you do not want to make a reservation and get all dressed up. No guarantee that there will be room for you if you do not make a reservation, but we never do and we always seem to get in. They have a really good Dairy Free pizza (as long as you do not get cheese on it, I am pretty sure it has eggs in it as well). The snapper wrapped in Banana leaves is also super good along with the shrimp wrapped in bacon. If you are allergic to Gluten - just order it without the bread. Cimboco's is definitely on Island time so take that into account if you do not have a long time to spend at dinner. You can also order take out and just eat it at your place which is always a nice alternative. I only attached the dinner menu here, but they also serve Breakfast and Lunch.

So...This is def my favorite restaurant on the Island! The staff aren't always the friendliest - but sometimes they are. If you catch someone on a "grumpy" day take it with a grain of salt and continue to salivate over the deliciousness that is about to hit your palette. This is the fastest, most delicious and easiest restaurant on the Island. Sometimes there can be a line, but it usually moves pretty fast. They cook all of their chicken in a delicious secret sauce on a rotisserie. Then you can choose if you want a quarter, half or whole chicken and pick your sides. We usually get it to go, but you can also eat there. The space is limited though!
TIPS: The coleslaw is not dairy free and the jerk chicken, very sadly is not gluten free. I found that out the hard way! But, it is also how I know it is so delicious!

One of my other favorite restaurants on the Island, mainly because the staff are so friendly and the resident African Grey Parrot. This is a pretty fancy restaurant and we usually wear nice clothes when eating here. They have Gluten free pasta and very delicious desserts for those that do not have to worry about allergies. This is a good place to go for a special event, nice family dinner or celebration. You can also check out the parrots around the side of the building. This is especially fun if you have kids and are waiting for your courses to come out. But beware...because it is the only place in the caymans that I have ever been bitten by mosquitos. Not inside the restaurant, Just outside around the back with the other birds.
TIPS: Make reservations ahead of time

This is a fancyish but also laid back restaurant. Make sure to request a table outside, as it is right on the ocean and the outside tables are more desirable than the ones inside. They have the most delicious smelling breads and from what my family tells me, they are also delicious! They also offer a Gluten free bread that is quite good and made in house. They have a lot of great fish options as well as some good options for kids.
Tip: Make reservations ahead of time so that you can get a seat outside.

We used to eat at the Wharf allllll the time. It is not cheap, but not much in the Caymans is. They have good fish options and a fun gift shop as well! But, the best part and main reason to eat at the Wharf is to feed the tarpon Fish. Be careful, because they can jump and they have super sharp teeth. A friend of ours once got the tip of their finger nipped by one. They will give you gloves and it is a fun activity for kids and adults alike. Tarpon feeding happens for sure at 9pm and I read that it also happens at 7:30pm. I would double check the feeding times when making your reservation.
Tip: Make reservations far ahead of time. This is one of the most popular restaurants in this area. Request a seat next to the ocean as well.

This is just a little shack that makes decent Kebabs. I never eat from here because they are not great about the gluten free thing. It is fairly quick and easy with decent tasting food.
A little more about the restaurant and menu:
This place was best the first year! It still is decent though. The burgers are what you would expect from a burger shack, so don't expect anything spectacular. I do not eat from here because they are not great about the gluten or dairy free thing. Even though it is a "fast" place. Keep in mind that it is Island fast not American Fast.

This is a great place for lunch or breakfast. The breakfasts are good with a wide range of food. The lunchs are also decent. The staff is not the most friendly, but we usually order take out and it all works out.
TIPS: better place to order take out from and always add ten minutes onto the time they say it will be done.

A very delicious little Vegan restaurant that serves lion fish (I know, not vegan). But they only serve it because the Lion Fish is an invasive species in the caymans and it is killing all of the native fish, which in turn disrupts the coral and the entire ecosystem. Since it does not have any natural predators in the Caymans - divers are actively hunting them. Instead of letting them go to waste they use their scales for jewelry and sell the meat to restaurants. It is actually a quite delicious fish and I would recommend their curry. It is so delicious! in fact, I am salivating just writing this. They also have a lot of gluten free options and are very conscious of any dietary restrictions that you may have.

Jessie's has a lot of delicious vegan smoothies as well as some very good food and cookie options. They also make a killer kombucha! They do not have long hours but are a great place to get a take home lunch, or you can eat outside at one of their wooden tables. Sometimes the line can be long, but usually the food comes out pretty fast.
